An exhibition in the conershop

There's a quirky but charming abandon corner shop which I sometime peeped inside with my curiosity when I cycle in Chatworth Rd in East London.
And I found an article in local news paper that said art organisation Measure has been exhibition in the shop.
Some artist's objects with dusty products in the same shelf and they are funnily matching together well.

いつも通るだびに気になって覗いたりしていたチャッツワース　ロードにある、ずっと閉まりっぱなしの
いわゆる「何でも屋さん」。
ローカル新聞の記事でMeasureというグループがエキシビジョンをするというので行ってきました。
店内は６０年代の内装のままで、そのかなにアーティストのオブジェがあるのだけれど、どれが作品かどれがお店の物か分からない。。。

Pretty relaxed, semi professional vintage dealers (?) not super serious buyers which I like.

Zine Far at Women's library

Poped in 'Women of the world zine fair 2011' at Women's library busy Saturday.
Many lovely girls.
Many sweet magazines.
They made me to have itchy hands even more...

私の行っていた大学の分館にあるウォーマンズ　ライブラリー　ミュージアムでジンのフェアがあったので行ってきました。
素敵な女の子たちと、ジンたち。
さらにまた何か作りたくなってきた。。。

Afropolitans at V and A

Went to late evening event "Aflopolitan" at Victoria and Albert Museum.
It's represented about alternative African arts and crafts.
Me and M were in a such a long que for a while for joining print work shop but no chance to managed but took some photos.
I realised that I have really itchy hands for doing silk screen print which I haven't done for long time.

オルタナティブアフリカンアートとクラフトのための夜のイベント「アフロポリタン」に行ってきました。
場所はヴィクトリア　アンド　アルバート　ミュージアム。
友だちのMと長い列に並んでスクリーンプリントのワークショップに参加しようと思ったけれど時間切れ。
写真はワークショップでの風景。
そういえば、もう随分長い間シルクスクリーンプリントをしくて、すこしうずうずしてきました。

Pelicans & Parrots

There's so many vintage shops in all around London but non of the shops makes me think 'Here's the best!' But Pelicans & Parrots made me say yes. it located in my local town, Dalston where has been rapidly changing trendy spot.

Their selections are nicely retro and sweet.

ロンドンには沢山のヴィンテージショップがあります。

でもどれもセクシーすぎたり、色やデザインが奇抜すぎたり。

でもこのお店はうなずけるお店です。

最近驚くような速さで変貌してゆくダルストンにあります。

セレクションが適度に甘く、レトロなのが魅力です。

Accidentally found a kind of gallery”Outline edition” in Soho when I was hanging around in Soho for looking recods and fabrics.

Visted a traditional textile factory in West London for learning about production process of textile fabric　as I have doing intenship in a textile interior company at the moment.
The factory has running business for over 80 years in west london.
There are many industory print machines...
There are many English chaps who speak cockney accent with a cup of tea.
I was hiding and wondering around in the huge space with my camera.

インターンの研修の一部で西ロンドンにある８０年前から続くテキスタイルのプリント工場へ。

見たことのない沢山の機械。ワーキングクラスのおじさん、お兄さんたちに「よう、姉ちゃん、元気かよ！」と言われながら、子供の様にひっそり歩いたり、ボスに隠れて写真を撮ったり。

帰りに「また来いよ！」と言われたので遠慮なく訪ねたいくらいです。

Chelsea physic garden 28/09/09

A small and beautiful hidden spot in west London. Chelsea physic garden is located in the behind posh houses.

Me and my friend Adam chatted like birds. We were totally surrounded by millions of the exotic herbs and plants. Found some gardening products which are looks like a traditional basket from oriental country or contemporary art works.

友達のアダムとChelsea Physic garden に行ってきました。エキゾッチッキな薬草が沢山ある小さくて静かな植物園で、私たちはただひたすら話続ける午後。園内で見つけたガーデンニング用の道具、眺めていたら現代美術のオブジェか、オリエンタルのバスケットみたいに見えて来た。
